Overview: Coming off of a promising year, Georgia Tech will look to use its seasoned lineup to repeat that success. The Yellow Jackets finished with a winning record in conference play for the first time since the 2003-04 season. Returning many key players from last season, this is a prime opportunity for Pastner to solidify Georgia Tech as a contender in the ACC.
In order to achieve this goal, they will need to have better production and efficiency on the offensive side of the ball. A key to success is the performance of star players senior Jose Alvarado and junior Michael Devoe. The two guards were the only players that shot 30 percent or better on 3-pointers, and, combined with senior Moses Wright, they had 43.4 PPG in the 2019-20 campaign.
This season, Georgia Tech looks to maintain its spot as a top-5 ACC team. The Yellow Jackets are known to have a stout defense, and if they are able to improve their offensive efficiency, they are going to be a competitive team.
Team ceiling: Their defense stays sturdy throughout the regular season and their offense improves behind the efforts of Alvarado and Devoe. This will lead them to make the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2010.

Team floor: Their offensive struggles continue as their 3-point shooting efficiency drops and they have an increase in turnovers. Alvarado and Devoe don’t have the same impact as last season, and the young talent in the ACC proves to be more meaningful than the experience of Georgia Tech.
